Good aid for chemistry

I've found this student guide to be a very valuable tool in learning chemistry and preparing for exams. I'd recommend this guide to anyone taking chemistry who has ample time to devout to learning this science, especially for those students who plan to take the MCAT or DAT.
I followed the author's recommendation in his introduction "How to Use to Student Guide", and it helped increase my performance greatly in the class. At the start of each chapter in this student guide, the author points out the key points you should try to be learning, so I looked those over in advance so I could have an idea of what to try to get out of reading each chapter and attending each lecture. When getting ready for a test or quiz, I'd always look over the entire chapter in this study guide because I found it was a much more concise way to summarize and review these important concepts for the test - if any concepts still didn't make since I could still go back to the book or lecture notes for further clarification, but normally the student guide provided enough information to remind me of what I had learned. One of the best parts of this student guide was that it offered many additional practice problems for each chapter, usually about 70 or 80 problems in different formats, each problem had an answer with an explanation. While the textbook itself does offer many practice problems, most of them don't have an answer even if you buy the solution manual, and I never felt comfortable doing problems without having a way to check if I was answering them correctly.
I also think this book will be useful to anyone who will be planning to the MCAT or DAT. Before the first chapter, the author outlines what chemistry topics will be covered by each test, so you can make a mental note and recognize when you get to an area that will be on whichever of the tests you'll be taking. Also, there are multiple what I'd call mini MCAT / DAT practice tests after every few chapters in the book. These are obviously much shorter than a real test and not in the same format, but it serves as a good introduction because it combines material from various chapters and asks more critical thinking based questions, some with passages and some independent questions. Even if you're not planning to take one of these tests, these sections would probably be a good review for the chemistry final since they are comprehensive questions.
