A good supplement to the book.

After using it for several challenging problems, I have discovered that not every problem is explained or explained well. Sometimes this book only gives the answer. I find referring to the book also helps as the process to many of the problems are explained well.
It is helpful in understanding the problems when it is difficult understanding an instructor/professor.
I would say, try using the book first, if it is still difficult understanding the problems then purchase this to help.

This book is invaluable!

The math problems are really hard and going to the math lab to talk to tutors is very time consuming and sometimes they can't solve the problem and end up looking it up in the student solution manual anyway. If you get stuck on a problem, you can just look it up in the student solution manual and save so much time and energy. I highly recommend this book.

that the authors and instructors would not take short cuts, and when they do at least explain themselves!!!! I recommend this manual for thrifty minded students.
