Hate this book

Seriously, this book sucks. It still only has the even answers! And most of the solutions aren't explanations at all. This book assumes that you already know A LOT.
Far more often than not, I look at the back of the textbook and look at the answer, but I may not know how they came by said answer. So I head to the solutions manual for answers, only to see the exact same answer and read a short statement like "denominator has been simplified". Umm...what does that mean?? I need to know how the problem was SOLVED. A better answer would be something like "Use difference quotient to solve, then simplify answer by factoring numerator and denominator to remove radicals". That tells me a good place to start and how to simplify to obtain a final result. As it is, this book is almost totally useless to me. It's very rare that it's actually helpful.

If you are like me, just checking the answer in tha back of the book does not really help if your answer does not match the book. This solutions manual has the odd numbered problems completely worked out. It made studying so much easier by showing me where I went off track. A must have if you are buying the text!

Couldn't grasp Calculus if it wasn't for this manual

I was required to take Calculus and was dreading the class due to my weak math background. If it wasn't for this book, I wouldn't have been able to figure out most of the problems. It helped me tremendously and it helped me get an A in Calc. MUST BUY!
